About DressAbroad
DressAbroad answers one question for travellers: what should I actually wear there? Not a style guide and not a shop — a practical one, built around the things that decide it: the weather in the month you travel, the dress codes at temples, mosques and churches, and the local clothing worth knowing about.
DressAbroad is run by Manodya Madushanka, who lives in Sri Lanka, which is why Sri Lanka comes first. It is an independent site. Every guide is written for a specific question travellers search for, checked against official and local sources, and dated so you can see when it was last reviewed.
How we keep guides accurate
- Weather figures come from long-term climate averages, not a single season.
- Dress codes are checked against the site or authority that sets them, and we link to it where one exists.
- When a rule changes, the guide is updated and its date changes with it.
